Your appointment will include circumferential measurement of your affected limbs if part of intensive treatment or for your own records if you wish. This will be followed by a physical assessment of you affected and unaffected limb to assess what techniques are required. Your therapist will then work with you to do some deep breathing exercises to clear your deep lymphatic system before commencing stimulation of you lymph nodes followed by a gentle massage to your affected area to direct fluid back into your deep lymphatic and circulatory system. Lymphatic massage may require you to remove your clothing. Please be assured your dignity is very important to us and will be respected at all times.
